  1. Nice site! Good to see someone has gotten it together. Let's increase each others traffic. If you would like to exchange links, let me know.

  2. White Christmas was amazing....it really painted a living old fashioned Christmas on that stage. All of the cast was amazing and so talented. Thank you for the great feeling I left the show with.

Have you ever considered doing workshops for High School kids? I am a director and I try to bring in Broadway performers in the Fall to do workshops with my kids....if you are interested, email me and put "workshop" in the subject line.

Keep up the great work Hope to see you in more shows....so far I saw you in two (WC and Young Frankenstein).

  3. Hi Matt,

Tom and I truly enjoyed the performance of White Christmas. Funny, witty, spirited and full of singing and dancing. We want to thank you for giving us a back stage tour too; it was thoughtful of you to give your time after the show. You have a wonderful family and we are grateful to be an extended part of it. Put us on your email list and keep us informed of your performaces.

    Happy Holidays, Maggie

  7. Hey Matt, just went to reply to a very old message from you on facebook, and you weren't there any more! Looks like you're doing great! Congrats on the new show!

    Best,

    Jessica :)

  8. Saw you as the Count in Young Frankenstein. You were great. Very funny part. Loved the way you danced off with your cape flowing. Would have loved to see what you did with Dr.Frankenstein. Saw the show twice would love to see it more but I'm broke. So sad over it's closing. So, many shows are closing on Broadway. It's the economy. I'm not a big broadway show guy but I loved YF. Don't care about the others closing. You were so lucky to be part of this production. You must have a lot of interesting stories. Well, best of luck in the future. Keep up the good work!

  9. Hey Matt!

Just checked out your page for the first time! It was fun. I hope that good things keep on coming for you!!

I saw you as Dr. Frankenstein at the August 9th performance and you were amazing! Congrats on having such a great role for your Broadway debut. I bought the soundtrack and honestly I liked your voice more then Roger Bart's but don't tell him that. Anyway....keep up the amazing work and I look forward to seeing you in more productions.

  18. Hi Matthew! My friends and I saw your performance last night (Thurs 8/07) and just wanted to say you were absolutely amazing! My friend Dina told me that you are a patient of the doctor she works for, small world, isn't it?

Anyway, thanks for hanging out with all the fans in the pouring rain!

  19. Some friends and I were in NYC on a mini-vacation from Philadelphia. We attended the evening performance of YF on Tuesday August 5. This was my second chance to see YF with the new cast. You did a fabulous job as FF. ROCK ON!!

  20. Congratulations,

I'm sincere when I say that your performance in Young Frankenstein was the best theatrical performance I've seen in a long time. I cannot possibly think that Roger Bart, brilliant though he may be, performed better than you did.

    Thanks for a fantastic performance

    -Petra

  21. Congratulations Matt! It is fantastic to see you reach such a high level of achievement.

  22. Hello Mr. LaBanca,

I was present during your lead performance in Young Frankenstein on July 12, 2008 @ the 2:00 p.m. YOU ARE AMAZING! Awesome job! I yelled out to you when you exited the stage door Saturday night after the evening show "Super Job! and you turned and smiled, but I did not get your signature. Would love to have one! I understand the Mr. Bart took the lead for the 8:00 p.m. show......there is no way he delivered as great as you did!!! Thanks for

making my trip to New York!!! I am a new fan and I hope to see you in other shows soon!

    Scott Lambert

  23. Mr LaBanca

Saw you go on for Roger Bart in October, was wondering when you are scheduled to go on again! Was super impressed!

Hope this finds you doing well... keep up the amazing work!

  25. Matthew-

Long ago, I had the pleasure to see you in Singin' in the Rain at WVPT. I played Tammy Wynette in the Stand By Your Man show. Anyway. You were always so nice and seriously talented. Well, I finally saw Young Frankenstein last night and was thrilled to see you on stage! Congratulations on your Broadway debut! You really were wonderful in the show. Have a great summer on 42nd Street!

    Always-

    Kristin Stewart

  26. Hi Matthew,

Thanks for the wonderful memory in seeing you perform on Sat.urday. It's so easy to see that you love what you are doing because your are fantastic.

Lots of good luck for continued success. You will be a hit no matter where the road leads you.

    Love,

    JoAnn

  27. I am so glad that I was able to see you perform yesterday. You were amazing, and I am so proud to call you my cousin! I know that this role is the start of many more wonderful things to come. Congratulations on your success, you deserve the best!

    Love,

    Kimberly

  28. I'm so happy that your dreams of Broadway have finally come true. You are such a joy to watch on stage. You have truly been blessed with such a wonderful gift of talent. I wish you nothing but the very best, and know that this isn't last of seeing your name in lights! I can't wait to see your next stage! :-)

  29. My husband, son & I had a spectacular time yesterday at the April 20th Matinee performance of Young Frankenstein (2nd row center orchestra). I just wanted you to know that I have a good eye & ear for talent (for no particularly good reason), and you were my easy pick for future star. The cast is outstnading, and you still stood out. Fantastic voice, lovely tonal quality -- possibly the best voice on the stage. Great enthuiasm, borne behind a delightfully mischievous smirk. You know who you are -- it's great fun to watch.

  30. Matthew...thanks so much for such an amazing experience when I came to see YF last week. You truly are unbelievable. You have such a presence on stage that commands the audience to watch you. I can't wait to see the show again in June with my mom...she is just going to flip. Thank you for showing all of us that dreams really do come true!!!

    You are awesome!

    Love always, Janice

  31. Hi , you are fantastic in YF . I was lucky enough to get the chance to see you as Dr. Frankenstein but even the first time we saw the show I thought that you had an amazing presence onstage and held your own in that incredible cast. Thanks so much for sharing your talent and continued sucess .

  32. Matt, It was so great to see you in Young Frankenstein. Great show and you were great too. Nice job on your website and working out looks like it's working well. Good luck in everything. I talked to my classes the day after I saw you and told them about you and to always go for your passion. I'm so happy for you and there is so much more to come, I'm sure. Kathie Nelson

    New Fairfield, Ct.

  33. WONDERFUL SHOW!!! You were so great and I am so impressed with the number of roles you go into! Thank you for making my first Braodway show a very memorable one. You have a new fan! Shawn

  34. Matthew...

So glad that I stumbled upon your very nice website.. Impressive.. I have had the pleasure of seeing you, in the King and I, and 3 times in Young Frankenstein..Once in Seattle, two times in NYC, once in October when you went on as F . Frankenstein. All performances you were delightful. So much fun to watch.

Wishing you all the luck in the world.

Thank you for sharing your talents.

    Lanz

  35. Hi Matt...Just wanted to say that we really had such a great time on Sunday at Young Frankenstein. We have always been impressed with your singing...but we enjoyed the dancing, acting and your entire performance. We are looking forward to following you throughout your career! Thanks again for meeting us afterwards! Laura

  36. Hi Matthew,

My partner and I saw you in YF this past Thursday (the night the show had to stop because of the noisy spotlight :)....The show was great but we both were taken by your performance. You have a great stage presence and you really stood out for us. Your singing, dancing, and acting was wonderful. Hope to see more of you in the future. Continued good luck with your career, Stephen and Scott

  37. Howdy! I saw you go on for Mr. Bart about a month ago, and I've gotta say you were seriously fantastic. Nothing against your collegue but I did not miss him and I thought you carried the show very well. Congrats!

    Charlie

  38. Hi I talked to you whil I was at "The Naming Project" I hope to see the show! Justin seems is really nice!

  39. Hi Matt:

I wanted to congratulate you on a great show. I saw Young Frankenstein last night and I loved it. What a great show....and you were quite impressive as well!! Have a great holiday season and best of luck!!

  40. Hey! I just e-mailed you but here i am again(= Nice to talk to you1

    melissa m.

  41. I had the pleasure of seeing you and the company in Young Frankenstein yesterday. The show is very entertaining. I was in the second row, so I was able to see all of your faces close up and one could tell you were having a good time. The ensemble really look great together, but you stood out for me, enough for me to read more about you in the Playbill. You have a great and sincere presence on stage and your dancing, enthusiasm and big smile added to the overall success of the show.

Best wishes for a long and happy run in the show. Kind regards,

    Michael Cooper

  42. I'm sure you've heard it a thouand times by now, but my disappointment at learning that Roger Bart was out was quickly done with after your first number--saw the Saturday matinee and thought you were fantastic. I'll tell everyone that I saw the better Dr. Frankenstein.

  43. I really like how easy your web site is to navigate. I can’t wait to see you in YF…

  44. Matt-

I want to thank you for taking the time to meet with my co-worker and I after the show the other night and showing us around while we were in town for business. We were blown away by the show, your generosity, and your talent.

Thanks again and congratulations on a brilliant Broadway debut. I hope to bring my wife to see this amazing show in the near future (if we can find tickets!)

  45. From your first shuffle step to your last grand jete with us - we always knew you were destined for Broadway... Congratulations!!!

    All our love - J & M

  46. Mr LaBanca,

Words can not express how thrilled my husband and I were to see you in Young Frankenstein on Friday 10/26. The show is amazing and your performance was outstanding! We had a wonderful time and I hope that they keep you in that role. Thanks again for a great night!

  47. My husband and I saw your performance last night... at first we were disappointed when we found out that Roger Bart was not playing the role of Frederick. However, after seeing you in that role, I could not imagine that anyone could have played it better. You made it the best show we have seen, on Broadway or elsewhere. You played that role better than anyone else could have - you made that play! Congratulations and best of luck to you...

  48. Matthew - Congratulations on your success yesterday! I saw the 2PM show of Young Frankenstein and thought you did an amazing job. Your work was very, very specific and it was clear you were as prepared as an actor could be, without seeming stale or mechanical. I hope that the cheers from the audience reached you during the curtain call.

Thanks for doing such great work - the show itself was a lot of fun, but seeing you knock it out of the park was what I'll remember and talk about. Take care,

    Gordon Robinson

  49. I was lucky enough to see your performance October 23, replacing Roger Bart. It was a pleasure; you were fantastic. I am not exaggerating when I say it ranks with the best performances I have ever seen in New York -- or anywhere for that matter.

    Congratulations.

    Bob Wood

  50. Matthew,

I saw your Saturday Matinee performance today and I wanted you to know that I thought you were great. Really quirky and funny and in great voice. Definitely a star turn. Congratulations!

  51. Hello Matthew,

I was fortunate enough to catch your performance on the 23rd from 5th row, center. You were great. I was surprised to find that Roger Bart wasn't in that night but I had a great time none the less. Your performance seemed casual and confidant. I loved your interplay with 'Igor". Just wanted to acknowledge your performance and wish you break a leg with opening night! FYI we drove up from Southern NJ just outside of Philly that night. Thanks for making the trip worthwhile.

  52. I flew to NYC on Tuesday (10/23) for one night and for one reason only...to see Young Frankenstein! Through out the whole show, I kept saying who is this Matthew LaBanca. Now I know. You are an extremely gifted actor with great comic timing! You have an amazing voice and truly made the show an absolute joy to watch. Thanks for making my trip so worth it! I will be looking for your name on future marques! You have a fan in the Falls!

  53. Hey there! Saw your name on playbill today and just wanted to congratulate you on your broadway debut! Very proud to know you and wish you all the best! Keep on knocking their socks off! Congrats, buddy!

  59. My husband and I saw you on Saturday (10/20/07) matinee. Andrea Martin mentioned that you had not had the opportunity to practice with the stars before you got the call to go on. You did a superlative job! My husband so liked your performance he wants to go see the show again. Tell Mel to give you a regular turn in the role of Frederick Frankenstein. The show will be the better for it! All the best.
  60. Hi Matt, Congratulations on playing on Broadway! Loved you in Singing In The Rain in Manchester NH. Best of luck and here's hoping you have a great run. But do hope that you make it back to the Palace soon! the Palace soon! Break a leg! Kay Terry Rising Star Family Dance Center
  61. Hi Matthew, I saw you in the Saturday matinee show and you were fabulous. Andrea Martin told us that you went on without rehearsing with the cast. You fit in perfectly.
